OFFICE OF INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY COVID-19 RESPONSE

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) needed to quickly protect Veterans and acclimate their workforce to new safety measures and remote work.

As a member of the IT Strategic Communication (ITSC) contract for the Office of Information and Technology (OIT), I helped to rapidly develop content to help VA manage this crisis.

I created custom illustrations and icons of personal protective equipment and sanitation materials, designed informative factsheets and PowerPoints, and developed social media content to share how VA was serving Veterans during this tumultuous time.

COVID Illustrations

Above are a handful of the illustrations that I developed for OIT's COVID response materials. The five people icons on the left were very familiar to OIT's audiences as I had designed them previously for other content. Now they wore protective masks to encourage proper safety measures.

Vaccine Social Media Animation

I developed this animation for social media to share the positive news of how quickly VA was providing the COVID-19 vaccine to America's Veterans. I featured a collage of Veteran and VA employee photos to show the human side of this herculean health initiative.
